Planning Before Move for a Trip. Often in the last minute rush to get your vacation trip under-way, the simplest of safeguards against fire or burglary or even car problems frequently escape attention. But precautions do pay off and your mind will satisfied while you are away if you use this check list of things-to-see-to before departing.
Home Check List. This check list is reproduced below for your guide lines: -
1. Advise police of your absence
2. Arrange in home lighting
3. Check out possible fire hazards
4. Empty your refrigerator
5. Have neighbor water lawn, keep house plants
6. Instruct post office to hold mail
7. Secure all doors and windows
8. Stop all newspaper deliveries
9. Take pet to vet or leave with friend
10. Turn off hot water
11. Leave itinerary with neighbor
Auto Check List. Check your vehicle properly as follows: -
1. Batteries
2. Brakes
3. Brake fluid
4. Fan belt
5. Lights
6. Lubricants
7. Oil
8. Radiator
9. Seat belt
10. Tyres including spare
11. Tool kit
12. Torch with batteries
13. Water Jug
14. Auto club service card
15 Auto registration
16. Car keys with extra set
17. Driving license
18. Emergency road flasher
19. First aid kit
20. Medicine required by family members
21. Credit cards
22. Waste bag
23. Proof of insurance
24. Sun-glasses
Food Items/Utensils. Bring along all the necessary utensils and food items.
Note: If youngsters are accompanying you, then bring along…..toys, and other necessary things. If they are not accompanying...be sure to leave with your sitter along-with a permit authorizing any medical treatment that might be needed.
